Working Together for a Stronger Outagamie

Mission & Foundation

Hate Free Outagamie stands in solidarity with our queer and trans siblings and is committed to dismantling any system that results in the oppression of people anywhere – workers, immigrants, women or otherwise. We recognize that our liberation is inextricably tied to all liberation struggles and will engage in side by side struggle with anyone we can unite with. We respect having a diversity of tactics among those we do unite with, and expect the same courtesy extended to us. We view these as different battles in the same war.

We seek not only the destruction of said oppressive systems, but the realization of a caring, diverse, equitable and prosperous world.

Trans Sanctuary Now!

A Trans Sanctuary is a place that actively protects transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming people from discrimination, harassment, and harmful policies.

Trans sanctuaries have been established in several cities and counties across the U.S. to create safe havens for trans individuals & their families amidst increasing anti-trans legislation.

In Wisconsin, both Milwaukee & Dane counties have been established as trans sanctuaries.

Structure & Organization

Hate Free Outagamie operates under a collaborative organizing model with elected leadership and active committees. Decisions are made democratically, ensuring accountability, shared responsibility, and opportunities for all members to contribute. This structure empowers members to take initiative, strengthen community connections, and work collectively toward a safer, more inclusive Outagamie County.

Leadership at Hate Free Outagamie is shared among our Chair, Co-Chair, and Committee Chairs. With elections every six months, members have a regular chance to step up, lead, and keep our movement dynamic and inclusive.
